Welcome to the start of our first brand new weekly feature! EO is here to get your week started with a bang, as we present to you one of our favourite mixes or live sets from the past week. It might not be a new mix, it could be a live set from a few years back, or it could be a mixtape from a few days ago. Either way, it you want an awesome selection of tunes wrapped up in a neat package, this is your place to come.
For this, the first week, I'm actually going to be a bit cheeky, and feature one of my own! Read on to find out a little bit about it, and to have a listen...
So, if you've read the about page at all (and let's face it, I'm sure MANY of you have...), you might know that as well as running this blog, I'm also a bit of a budding DJ/producer. One of the main things I do is release a new mix every month; this is my mixtape for the month of July.
In each monthly mix, I aim to showcase the best new music that I've found from the past month (it's almost a reflection of what I'm trying to achieve with EO in that respect), whilst cleverly mixing in a few classics. The reason I'm being vain this week is that I'm hoping to show the sort of thing that I'll be picking out for you over the weeks to come.
Anyway, I vary what I put in these, but this month there's a fairly heavy focus on Electro House, as well as other forms of House. There's some great recent tunes from the likes of Nero, Rootkit and Astronaut, and some oldies from Tiësto and Freemasons. But enough chatter - get listening, and I'll be back next week to share another mix with you.
