You might recall that a week or so ago, I reviewed Zedd's new track with Ariana Grande. I didn't have many nice things to say about it if I'm honest. I must admit though, it's slowly growing on me. Anyway, one of the biggest things I pointed out, was that at the end of each chorus, it feels like there's a massive build up (with that classic Zedd snare) that just simply doesn't go anywhere. I always thought that was extremely odd.
Turns out though, there's an extended edit! Somehow it slipped me by (probably because I'm not actually able to buy it because I don't live in the US...). And guess what? There's a proper drop! A proper, good ol'-fashioned Zedd electro drop. It only happens once, but, it's enough to significantly improve the song. It was obviously meant to be there all along, but was cut for the radio edit, which is a damn shame. It'd be nice if it happened after the second chorus as well, but I suppose you can't have everything. Click through to listen and see the updated score.
Anyway, I'm enjoying it a bit more now so I thought it was only fair to post this and update the score slightly. It's still not a fantastic Zedd track, but it's not terrible. You can have a listen to the new version above.
