Cazzette - Sleepless (Steve James Remix)

Steve James hasn't been on my radar for very long, but he certainly won't be moving out of its range any time soon. Just a few weeks after offering up a free download of his take on Clean Bandit's Rather Be, he's back with a remix of Cazzette's break-out hit Sleepless.

And once again, it's an absolute banger. See why below.

Steve really makes it quite easy for me to do these reviews, as he tends to cover everything I'd probably think about telling you in the description he writes for each of his SoundCloud uploads. As was the case with his remix of Rather Be a few weeks ago, his remix of Sleepless basically turns the original up to 11. Not that it wasn't already, but Sleepless is now ready to destroy the dance floor.

"It's got ... some syncopated vocal chopping, some Avicii-style tambourines and snaps, to some nice bright pianos layered everywhereeeeeee," says Steve, and these elements all come together to make a ridiculously upbeat rendition of Cazzette's hit. Steve's piano work in particular seems to be incredibly on point with each release.

I try to always give in depth reviews, but there's really not much more to say here! What more do you need to know? Oh, that it's free. Yeah. You should probably know that. If you fancy owning a version of Sleepless that's almost as good as the original, then go and grab it. Now.
