The Dutch producer is just 16. Wrap your head around that as you listen to Interstellar above, and then read about it after the jump.
Laszlo has created a track that's packed with summer vibes. Whilst there might not actually be much left of summer, that doesn't mean we can't just close our eyes and pretend. Laszlo makes that incredibly easy with Interstellar's wonderful chord progressions, and delightful melodies and hooks.
There's so many layers to this track to discover, but it never becomes bogged down, as it's all been so thoughtfully put together. There are moments of genius, like the cry of, "Ready? Set? Go!" following the track's lengthy - but well-paced - buildup that signals the beginning of the real fun.
The drop is beautifully constructed, and the comparison to Madeon earlier is particularly apt here, as Laszlo (perhaps knowingly?) utilises the same sort of techniques as his French counterpart to transition between sections, and it has the same quality feel. It's by no means an imitation though, as he's clearly stamped his own personality onto Interstellar, too.
It ends a little too abruptly for my liking, but in Interstellar, Laszlo has crafted a beautifully upbeat track, and his take on Progressive House has certainly made me take note. At just 16, he's got such a long time to improve his craft too, so colour me excited to hear more from Laszlo in the future.
