EO is here to get your week started with a bang, as we present to you one of our favourite mixes or live sets from the past week. It might not be a new mix, it could be a live set from a few years back, or it could be a mixtape from a few days ago. Either way, it you want an awesome selection of tunes wrapped up in a neat package, this is your place to come.
This week, we've got an awesome live set for you - Netsky's set from this year's GlobalGathering, provided by the good folks at THUMP. Continue on to have a listen and to read a little bit more about it.
Of all the sets at this year's GlobalGathering (I haven't forgotten that I've still got lots of acts that need to be reviewed, by the way), Netsky's was by far and away one of my favourites. His live show doesn't have many frills, but over the last few years I've watched it become an incredibly polished and professional production. Of all the sets, it was also the one I most wanted to relive. To my absolute delight, THUMP have recorded the whole lot, and it's now available for you to stream, and even download!
Why is it so special? It's just a really bloody good set, especially if you're a big fan. But even if you're not, there's still a lot to love so long as you don't mind a bit of Drum & Bass, and it's a good place to start in some ways to hear all of his massive hits packaged up. And rest assured, fans, they're all present and correct here. Massive tunes like Detonate, Love Is Gone, and Come Alive all get an airing, as well as classics from his first, self-titled album in the shape of Secret Agent, and, my personal favourite, Iron Heart.
And as if that wasn't enough, there's THREE brand new tracks - the set kicks off with an absolutely ridiculous new track, there's a brand new song that I'm going to speculate will be called something along the lines of 'Stay Up With Me', and a new tune that is clearly a spiritual successor to Puppy, but is even more ridiculously upbeat.
Anyway, enough chatter. Listen, download, listen again. It's one of my favourite live sets of the year so far, now you get to find out why.
