It had been rumoured to be the case, but spokespeople for Avicii, real name Tim Bergling, have confirmed that the DJ and producer has been forced to pull out of all future appearances indefinitely. The news was confirmed yesterday as Bergling turned 25. The Swede underwent surgery to remove his gallbladder and appendix earlier on in the year, and it would seem that his intense touring schedule, as well as his work on his second album, have not allowed him to recover properly.
Avicii has been forced to cancel all of his shows, including his performance at TomorrowWorld, and residencies in Las Vegas. It is thought he will rest in his hometown of Stockholm until he has recovered fully.
